A bunch of friends has bought paintball gear, and so have I! So we have started to play, and what a rush :) It is pretty awesome!

Calibrating the speed of the paintball is important, no more than 300fps

Then again, being PRO´S like us means that you can fire at somebody while the guy catches the ball with his teeth ^^

Marthe is sporty enough to play with us =)

And myself in full gear!

We had a blast! But no internet access so I couldn´t post anything, so here is a bunch of pictures from the trip. We started Monday morning from Trondheim and drove down the west coast of Norway. Our goal was to see UNESCO world heritage fjords, glaciers and most of the amazing nature Norway has to offer! And at the same time camp out, spend as little money as possible, and have loads of fun =) Here we go!

The gang at the great Atlantic road, just before Molde.

Entering the land of the big fjords! Most of the mountains you see beside the fjords are a least 1 km (300 foot) high!

See how the road curves like a snake down the mountain. The decent takes a while, and you have to drive on low gear not to overheat the brakes on the car =)

We were about to camp when we realized it was winter still up in this mountain! So we drove on for a bit to find lower grounds and get away from snow and ice!

Cool picture of a waterfall with long exposure.

And when we woke up the next day, cows were around our tent =) Nice big fellow.

UNESCO world heritage fjord “Nærøyfjorden”, a side fjord from the gigantic “Sognefjorden”

Entering the worlds longest road tunnel, 24,5 km long (over 15 miles long)

Inside the tunnel (beside the speed cameras) there are 4 gigantic halls that are lit with colored lights. This one taken with long exposure.

There are so many tunnels here around Sognefjorden that you drive straight of the ferry into a tunnel =)

Briskedalsbreen is a site arm og the big glacier Jostedalsbreen. Here they tap allot of the bottled water they sell in Norway. We got it for free, just stick the water container in the river, and there you go! :)

One of out camp sites

Still snow on Stryn mountain, right after this there are summer open ski resorts where you can ski in your shorts ;p

The second UNESCO world heritage fjord, Geiranger fjorden. An amazing plaze :)

The gang in Geiranger

7 waterfalls in one, called the seven sisters.

Nothing to say about the scenery

Rasa and me at the troll ladder, it is a long way down!

Trollveggen, as this mountain is called, is Europes longest vertical cliff! It is over 1000 meter straight down, popular for base jumping

Our last night was in Dovre national park. The river was ICE cold :)

Eventually when I sort my pictures I will post many more on my Picasa webalbum. We had a great time, and got to see some amazing stuff on the way. I wanna go camp again :)

I`m done! Reading through the last Potter book doesn´t take that long, but a week of camping through Norway does =) Finally I can surf the web again. The last two weeks I have not been doing anything online except Facebook, News and Music. All the usual sites I have to read every day has been banned :p So how was the book? Fantastic!! More than I had imagined happened, and the ending was superb. All the questions I had was kinda answered.. Read more if you have read the book! Read the rest of this entry »

Finally, the new book is out and I have been reading since saturday. Taking it easy I have finished about half the book now, and WHAT A BOOK! Damn, this thing is exciting from page one, and feels a hell of a lot darker than the other ones. Read more for random thoughts, but BEWARE, IT CONTAINS BIG SPOILERS, If you haven´t read the book for the love of god, dont read more :P

It is two days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is out, and I can`t wait too read it! BUT since the internet community (read social networking) has a way of spoiling things, thanx Digg for spoiling Lost season finale, I am signing off. I don`t want to find myself on a webpage where some jerk just screams the big spoilers.

So as of today, and until I have read the book, I will not be visiting anything except safe pages, like newspapers and stuff. No Digg, very very little Facebook, and go super stealth on the web for a week or so :p

I am warning you, the bastard that spoils this book for me is getting shot!! (at least a hundred times by my paintball gun)

this is Helge, signing off…

Værnes Airport, Norway is apparently having issues with Windows (as the rest of us do!) on their baggage control systems. I guess I won`t be seeing my baggage anytime soon. And I hope they dont run the same software on their flight control systems :)

Well Oslo was a big success, and I had a blast! We stayed at the RadissonSAS hotel dead in the centre of Oslo, and got a pretty nice room compared to the low price we payed.

Rasa is enjoying the office workspace with teh Mac

The Tiger outside “Stortinget” or Parliament/Congress whatever

I even gave a homeless dude 50kr, I was that pleased with myself :P

Me and Rasa enjoying the Park

The view from 10km over the ground at night

ptree live2
The day after the concert, I find myself kinda burned out. Yesterday night sucked all the energy out of me, and I have just been sleeping during the day. One of the biggest newspapers reviewed the concert, and gave it a solid 6 on the dice, even if the beginning of the concert was troubled with power losses!

the set list:
Fear of a Blank Planet
Lightbulb Sun
My Ashes
Anesthetize
Open Car
Drown with Me
Mellotron Scratch
Blackest Eyes
Sentimental
Sever
Half Light
Way Out of Here
Sleep Together

Even Less
Mother and Child Divided
Halo

I just got to say, I just came home from the Porcupine Tree concert, and it was probably the best music experience I have ever had in my life! the Band performs awesome and is just superb live :) Ths has to be one of the best concerts of the year, and definitely the best one I have ever been to. I just stood there, almost at the first row, just gasping and singing along. Totally rock worthy! If you EVER have a chance to see Porcupine Tree live, take it, you will _never_ regret it!
